LED Light Panel A1

R 6,199.00

See familiar things in a whole new light.

A coloured shape becomes a glowing pattern. A leaf reveals its delicate veins. Overlapping translucent pieces invite the question, “What happens if we put these together?”

A light panel turns everyday exploration into an illuminated invitation to investigate. It's lit surface brings attention to colour, shape, detail and transparency, creating a versatile workspace for hands-on learning at home, in the classroom or during therapist-guided activities.

From a simple sorting task to an open-ended creative project, it offers a fresh way to explore resources and ideas.

Discover colour, light and transparency. Place translucent resources on the panel and observe how they look when illuminated from beneath. Compare colours, overlap pieces and investigate how different materials let light through.

Introduce the words “transparent”, “translucent” and “opaque” through practical exploration. Which objects allow light to pass through? Which block it? What changes when you add another layer?

These small investigations encourage observation, prediction and discussion, giving children opportunities to test their ideas rather than simply watch a demonstration.

Make maths visible. Use translucent counters, shapes or other suitable manipulatives to explore counting, sorting, number bonds and repeating patterns. Arrange a collection into groups, compare quantities or create a pattern for someone else to continue.

Build symmetrical designs, investigate geometric shapes or use translucent fraction resources to compare parts of a whole. The illuminated background offers another way to present mathematical relationships and invite learners to explain what they notice.

For tracing activities, place a suitable outline beneath paper and explore lines, shapes, letters or pictures. Adapt the task to the learner, from following a simple path to creating a more detailed drawing.

Create, arrange and imagine: Make colourful mosaics, design pictures with translucent loose parts or explore how a composition changes when pieces are moved and layered. A light panel provides a different setting for creative work, with no single “right” result.

Invite children to tell a story about their design, describe their choices or work together on a shared picture. Planning, visual exploration and language become part of the creative process.

The Light Panel becomes a starting point for questions: “Where does the light shine through?” “What details can you notice?”

Adapt the activity to the learner. Offer a small selection of materials for a focused task, or introduce a wider variety for independent investigation. Change the resources and level of challenge to support different ages, interests and learning goals.

For teachers and therapists, the panel provides an alternative way to present visual matching, sorting, sequencing and fine-motor activities. Follow the learner’s visual comfort and preferences, keeping the experience inviting rather than overwhelming.

A resource to revisit again and again.  Use it for learning stations, individual exploration, paired activities or adult-guided investigations. With a change of materials, the same surface can support a new subject, question or creative challenge.

Use under adult supervision and follow the model’s care instructions.
