Hey Clay - Plant Friends

Grow a little collection of characters, no watering required! Hey Clay – Plant Friends invites children to turn soft, colourful clay into six plant-inspired personalities, creating a cheerful little world with their own hands.

Step-by-step video guides in the Hey Clay app help young makers build each character from simple shapes. A pinch here, a roll there and a few carefully placed details bring each new friend to life. The guided process offers a starting point, while leaving room for children to experiment with colour and add their own creative touches.

There’s plenty of hands-on learning along the way. Squeezing, rolling and shaping the pliable clay encourage finger strength, fine motor control and hand–eye coordination. Working through the instructions gives children practice in sequencing, observing shapes and paying attention to detail, with the satisfaction of watching their efforts take form.

Once the sculpting is finished, leave the characters to air-dry and harden, ready to display together or inspire imaginative stories. Children might name their new plant friends, dream up their personalities or create a little neighbourhood for them to share.

A lovely choice for creative minds who enjoy a detailed making project, this set brings app-guided inspiration off the screen and into children’s hands.
