Double Up Story Time
Sharp eyes, quick thinking and a little storybook magic!
A table full of familiar characters. Two cards to compare. Who will spot the matching picture first? Double Up Story Time turns a simple matching challenge into a lively game of concentration, quick reactions and delighted shouts of “There it is!”
Featuring 30 colourful hexagonal cards filled with storybook-themed pictures, this fast-paced game invites players to scan, compare and call out the image that appears on both cards. It sounds easy, until someone else spots it just before you do!
Five quick games keep the fun coming
With five games to explore, there’s more than one way to put those eagle eyes to work. Gather the family, add a playful challenge to a small-group session or pack it for a holiday. Simple matching gameplay makes it easy to get involved, while the race to find a match keeps everyone on their toes.
Little cards, plenty of learning
Each round gives children practice in looking closely, picking out matching details and shifting their attention between pictures. Calling out a match brings picture recognition and naming into the fun, while playing together offers opportunities to practise following rules and handling the ups and downs of friendly competition.
For parents, teachers and therapists, it’s a playful way to explore visual perception, attention and communication without reaching for another worksheet.
Make room for a story, too
For a gentler activity outside the competitive games, take time to name the characters and talk about the stories they remind you of. Try choosing a few pictures and inventing a silly tale together. Who might meet whom, and what could happen next?
